Doug Kulungu is a member of parliament in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the leader of WellBeing, a nonprofit advancing clean water, education, healthcare, and gospel-centered transformation across the nation.
Raised in poverty in Kikwit and shaped by years of separation from his parents during the Ebola outbreak, Doug went on to earn a business administration degree from Fresno Pacific University. After his father’s death in 2019, he assumed his parliamentary seat and was elected in his own right in 2023, representing the Kasongo-Lunda district. Through WellBeing, he has helped drill water wells, build schools, launch radio stations and farming cooperatives, and train pastors—combining practical relief with spiritual hope.
Doug lives between California and Congo with his wife Patience and their two sons.
